Daniel Hernández Morillo (August 1, 1856 - October 23, 1932) was a Peruvian painter.

Hernández was born in Hurpay, Huancavelica. He studied under Leonardo Barbieri, and in 1875, after attaining a scholarship from the Peruvian government, he travelled to Europe. Hernández lived in Italy for ten years studying classical art before moving to Paris.

While in France, Hernández was awarded the gold medal at the 1900 Exposition Universelle and was given the Légion d’Honneur in 1901.

In 1912 he travelled to Montevideo and Buenos Aires where he exhibited a number of his works [1]. He later went to Paris where he stayed until the end of World War I in 1918.

He died on October 23, 1932.
