.John Absolon (1815 – May 5, 1895) was a British watercolor painter, born in London in 1815. He studied in London and then Paris.

Among his works are:

Metare (1845)
First Night in the Monastery, Dopscen (1856)
Coast Scene, Normandy (1860)[1]
Goldsmith Workshop (1860)
The Haymakers[2]

Absolon also created landscapes, portraying scenes from Switzerland and Italy.
